The African Heritage Foundation (AHF) is seeking donations of clothing for a family in need.
One of the AHF’s youth members has brought to us the plight of her neighbour who is greatly in need of help and is asking for assistance on behalf of that family.
The fact of the matter is, a 15yr old boy ( her neighbour and friend) is in need of shoes (size 13), pants (size 27) and shirts (small or size 16). This young man was in a coma for a year. Due to the coma he faces some health and learning issues. On top of all this, he is bullied at school due to the poverty stricken condition he is in.
His mother is currently going through a rough pregnancy (6 months along now) and is unable to work. The baby (a girl) will have to be taken from her at 38weeks due to all the complications she is faced with. Baby things are needed.
The young woman (18 yrs old) who is initiating this charitable action says she witnesses the mother sitting on the side step of her house every day and night regardless of if it is hot, cold, dry or wet, worrying about her situation in a pit of despair and hopelessness. At present she has moved back in with her mother and sister who treat her very badly and adds insult to injury. We must act and act now!
Please ensure that all donations are worthy of donating.
The AHF is asking you to make a donation of clothing as stated before. You can contact the AHF at 260-4795 to arrange the pickup of your donation. You can also bring your donation to the AHF’s headquarters, “Liberty House”, Two Mile Hill, St Michael.
This is an urgent matter and what you give will be truly appreciated.
