The AHF has finished collecting its first set of donations for Dominica. Sister Felisha Holder coordinator of this project must be commended for her untiring efforts to get all the donations collected and prepared for transport to Dominica. We must also pay a special word of thanks to another AHF family member Don Hinds who through his audio book called The Mari Show has made a significant contribution to this effort. The AHF thanks everyone who has made a donation to this drive. Donations were carefully packed and delivered to the Barbados Coast Guard today for transport.
Our donations are going to Sister Kerina Hilaire who is heading up the collection for Delices Village Council.
Delices was one of the towns cut off and that community has only recently been accessible.
Sister Felisha would like everyone to note that after the initial hype of giving for this cause has passed, our brothers and sisters on the island of Dominica will still be needing our assistance. This was the first of the AHF's efforts to contribute to Dominica's relief. The AHF will continue to collect donations of canned food items, toiletries and clothing. A special call is made for donations of shoes for young men and women who are assisting with the clean up that is being done especially in rural areas that are not easily accessible.
Monetary donations can be made through our paypal account to purchase items to donate. Please note these donations of money are only for persons who do not live in Barbados. If you are going to make a monetary donation please contact Sister Felisha to give her the details of your contribution.
To find out more on how and where you can make your donation please contact Sister Felisha at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 1 (246)571 4186
On behalf of Sister Felisha and the AHF family we thank you for your love and support.
Remember: To give is the greatest gift you can receive.
