The African Heritage Foundation (AHF) has conceptualized a fun, educational learning tool in the form of an African-Centred calendar.

This calendar features some of our African greats and highlights important dates in history that should be of note.

This calendar, deemed, “The Sankofa History Calendar” will be utilized as a learning tool in each classroom of three secondary schools. There will be a launch at AHF Headquarters, ‘Liberty House’, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael (Opposite Barbados Community College (BCC) GED Mass Comm Building) on Saturday 9th February from 6pm-8pm to present the participating schools with their calendars.

This launch will not only give more insight to the concept behind the use of the calendar in schools but also give more insight on the work of the African Heritage Foundation.

The public, media and specially invited guests will have an opportunity to mix and mingle with members of the African Heritage Foundation as well as the sponsors who came on board to ensure this calendar initiative took root.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase calendars and other afro-centric material for themselves.

This African-Centred educational calendar initiative also enables you and family members to focus on our African Heritage throughout the year and not only during Black History Month, especially during this the International Decade for People of African Descent (2015-2024) as proclaimed by the United Nations (UN).

Join Us: Saturday 9th Feb, 6-8pm, African Heritage Foundation Headquarters, Liberty House, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael.
