We don’t need unity in theory, we need solidarity in practice.

Subscribing to the AHF website is an act of revolution

“The revolution is not an apple that falls when ripe. You have to make it fall.”
― Ernesto Che Guevara

It is with this quote that I table my conversation with you about how subscribing to this website is in itself a revolutionary act.

What is the purpose of this website?

Apart from the obvious usage of sharing information, this website is a tool that the African Heritage Foundation is using to assist young business persons market their products and services to an international market. Of course, this increases their opportunities for a greater volume of sales. Building successful businesses equates to creating more employment for ourselves and constructing brighter outlooks for our future.

This website is also intended to be an effective advertising space for the more established business. Revenue from advertisements will be utilised for educational and community development programmes hosted by the AHF. We are promoting this space with our incredible advertising rates.

What will make this website that much more attractive to potential advertisers is the number of persons who not only visit the site daily, but also those who are subscribed to it. These are the people who we can guarantee to advertisers will be personally notified about their products and services when they advertise with us.

The greatest and most powerful revolutions often start very quietly, hidden in the shadows and are built on the simplest acts imaginable. We only have as much economic and cultural liberty as we have the intelligence to want it and the courage to take it. Our strategy here is not to merely confront and inform of empires of injustice built on our labour and ignorance, but to lay siege to them. Together we will deprive them of oxygen and remove their power over us. Shall we not mock them with our art, our music, our literature, our stubbornness, our joy, our brilliance, our sheer relentlessness and our ability to tell our own stories and support each other’s well being. Stories that are different from the ones we have been brainwashed to believe. Stories that we will create of our victories based on collective economic cooperation.

Our silent revolution will build and develop once we are buying what we are selling, supporting our own ideas, our own version of history, our own wars, our own weapons and our own notion of inevitability.

Remember this: We are many, but we need each other. It takes many small drops to fill a bucket of water. Another world for us is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.

Here I stand shaking the apple tree with all my might. Shall our yard be full of apples from which we can all feast and derive great social and economic nutrients? You, my brothers and sisters, are the nutritious apples we would like to gather on our website – the communal yard of quiet revolution.

“International solidarity is not an act of charity: It is an act of unity between allies fighting on different terrains toward the same objective. The foremost of these objectives is to aid the development of humanity to the highest level possible.”Samora Machel
