The African Heritage Foundation (AHF) registered charity #1112 has created an educational service which it calls the Barbados Alkebulan Academy for Social Empowerment (BAASE).
Within this arm of the AHF, several educational services are offered to parents as they seek new creative inputs for their children’s education.
- A homeschooling service. You can find out more about this by visiting the BAASE website at www.alkebulanacademy.com
- A science club that utilizes STEM projects. It is called “CREATORS’. STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.
- A sewing/needle work course.
- Assistance with homework
As a charitable organization the AHF is focused on youth in need. When we speak of “youth in need”, we refer to the children whose parents do not have the financial means to afford these educational opportunities. It then becomes the responsibility of the AHF to find the funding needed to give these children a boost in their education.
While the AHF is open to accepting donations to this service, it is fully aware that these offerings will not prove to be a sustainable model for the development of BAASE. It is agreed by all involved with this educational service, that business is the foundation for the economic sustainability of this initiative.
You are being asked to purchase an item from “African Authentic’s ” as a contribution to this educational initiative. All items are $30USD or less. Delivery of purchases over $25 is available for a fee of $5 -$10 depending on distance from the AHF headquarters located on Two Mile Hill, St Michael. International support is welcome. Shipping costs are not included in purchase.
For more information on the AHF and BAASE, please send emails to email@example.com or call 1 246 262 0068 or whatsapp 1 246 268 7084.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
